ALBAWABA- US President, Joe Biden, is under increasing pressure to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race as internal and external calls for his withdrawal grow louder.

NBC reported on a Biden campaign official's statement: "Biden will never recover from what is currently happening to him." The network revealed that within Biden’s re-election campaign, there is a prevailing belief that he cannot win.

This sentiment is echoed by supporting Democratic entities, with an overwhelming feeling that the president should step aside.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries announced that the party's leadership plans to consult all 213 House Democrats about their stance on Biden's candidacy.

The calls for Biden to end his campaign gained significant momentum when Senator Peter Welch of Vermont became the first Democratic senator to publicly suggest Biden should drop out, just hours after actor George Clooney made a similar appeal, referencing Biden's debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Further adding to the pressure, Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon joined Welch, becoming the ninth House Democrat to call for Biden to end his campaign.

High-profile figures such as Nancy Pelosi, George Clooney, and George Stephanopoulos have also expressed their concerns regarding Biden's re-election bid.

President Biden is set to face reporters at a solo news conference amidst these growing calls from Democratic lawmakers and other influential figures urging him to abandon his re-election campaign.
