BenQ, the region’s leader in digital lifestyle products, has gained international recognition for its innovative range of projectors by winning two prestigious International Forum Design (iF) awards.
The CP120 projector, the smallest of its kind in the world, and the CP220 projector both picked up iF Product Design Awards for 2006.
The awards, which have been staged since 1954, are widely considered as one of the most important design competitions globally, attracting more than 1,800 entries from 30 different countries every year. The judges, composed of top international designers, critically examine and select the award-winning entries.
“We are delighted iF has chosen these BenQ projectors for their cutting edge design, and it is proof positive our projectors occupy an leading place in the market for outstanding products at an affordable price ,” said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ Middle East and Africa.
“It is always an honour to receive such awards and proves to our customers that when they choose BenQ, they are investing in products at the very forefront of innovation, setting the benchmark for others to follow,” he added.
BenQ has focused on products like projectors to improve its market reach, frequency and penetration in the Middle East. Currently, it holds the number two position in the regional projector market, according to recent BNA and DTC research respectively.
The award-winning CP120 projector has been designed specifically for mobile users. Weighing only 1.3 kg, this model delivers brightness of 1500 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. This combination of high brightness, outstanding contrast, extensive input support, and portability makes the BenQ CP120 ideal for multi-use in the home, on the road or in the boardroom.

The CP220 projector weighs just 1.8 kg and is designed for business travellers. It is easy to set up with 2200 ANSI Lumens suitable for every environment. The silver projector graces the top of any presentation table and is an ideal companion for people on the move. Its features include 4000hrs of Lamp Life in Economic Mode, XGA Native Resolution, Colour Matching Technology, Security Password Function and 9 sets of Application Mode.

In awarding the CP220, the iF design award, the judges stated: “The color scheme of bright silver and dark grey creates a sense of layered, in-depth beauty, which makes the projector look thinner and lighter.

“Hairline patterned metal buttons and semi-transparent sliding lens cover give users a different experience in using the product. It features a holistic design and has a quality look.”
BenQ has recently been building on its award-winning digital lifestyle range by launching new projectors, LCD monitors and TVs to its target audiences in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt.
