King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium arrived in Athens on Tuesday at the start of a three-day state visit to Greece, airport officials said.
The royal couple were accompanied by Belgian Foreign Minister Louis Michel, who was due to meet Greek President Costis Stephanopoulos and other officials during the visit.
On Thursday, the final day of their trip, the king and queen are due to visit the ancient ruins of Vergina, the former capital of Greece's northern region of Macedonia -- ATHENS (AFP)
