Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Doha on Saturday for a three-day visit, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, reported Kuwait’s News Agency (KUNA).
Lukashenko will hold talks Sunday with Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and other senior Qatari officials, said the agency.
It will be Lukashenko's first visit to Qatar, a presidential spokesman in Minsk, Belarus capital, was quoted as saying by the Gulf Times.
"The visit is aimed at developing closer links, particularly in trade, between the two countries," he said.
Lukashenko will sign agreements on trade and technical co-operation and on investment protection, the spokesman said – Albawaba.com
