About sixty exhibitors are expected at the France Pavilion, half of which will be newcomers: this confirms the appeal the UAE has for French beauty industrialists. France is the leading supplier of cosmetics to the Emirates, which rank 9th in terms of French exports. At this 2010 edition of Beauty World Middle East, France is positioned in the top 3 national pavilions. This year, all French exhibitors will be gathered in Hall 4.

The Glass Vallée cluster – the world’s leading luxury bottles cluster – is back in force this year with 10 companies exhibiting over 90 sq. m., ranging from glassblowers to subcontractors. The cluster groups together about fifteen companies (founders, moulders, glassblowers, sorters, decorators, arts craftsmen, etc.). Holders of ancient know-how found nowhere else in the world, these companies provide an all-in offer to major names in the perfume and cosmetics sector. GLASS VALLEE handles over 75% of the worldwide production of luxury bottles.

The Cosmetic Valley cluster is doing well too with 12 companies covering the entire cosmetics channel (formulation chemists, R&D, packaging, finished products), thus showing the scope of its know-how. Within its site, Cosmetic Valley groups over 400 channel SMEs/SMIs working at promoting “Made in France” luxury throughout the world. Among them, there are about twenty world-renowned brands producing the jewels of the beauty industry. Researchers and universities have joined the cluster to foster excellence and help it implement an innovative strategy, a major avenue for growth and competitiveness in this industry.

This year once again, companies from Ile-de-France will be taking part in the event: seven of them are grouped under the aegis of the Hauts-de-Seine Chamber of Trade.

The full extent of cosmetic products will be displayed in its endless variety, ranging from perfume to organic products bearing ECOCERT certification or related to sustainable development policies. It is worth mentioning the research being conducted by leading French laboratories on the cosmetics ingredients of the future (vegetal and marine species for use in a variety of products like skin whitening products, polymers, sunscreen products, etc.).

As for own-brand-manufactured formulations and products, they are delivered by French companies in compliance with HQE standards.

Innovative products are currently on a roll, whether it is baby care, men’s care or hair care products, or those intended for beauty salons and spas (gels, creams, exfoliants, masks and bath salts, or overweight treatment equipment and laser equipment).
