batelco sponsors woman gate conference
Batelco, Bahrain Telecommunication’s Company, was one of the main sponsors for the recent Woman Gate Conference, organised by Woman Gate in cooperation with the Bahrain Business Women’s Association and Gulf Centre for Marketing and Services Studies. The conference, which took place at the Gulf Hotel, was held to encourage women to start small businesses. The presentations and workshops were held by representatives from Microsoft and the United Nations.
Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager presented the sponsorship cheque to Chief of Gulf Centre for Marketing and Services Studies Foaud Sayadee and Bahrain Business Women’s Association member Mrs. Ameena Essa, at a ceremony at Batelco Headquarters in Hamala.
The Woman Gate Conference supports the work of Shaikha Sabeeka who as Head of the Women’s Council actively promotes women to become involved in the business world by starting their own business.
“Batelco is delighted to support programmes that benefit women in Bahrain and assist them in starting their own businesses,” said Mr. Al Janahi.
Batelco continues to contribute to a wide range of programmes that support the local community through its donation and sponsorship schemes that reach out to all residents of the Kingdom.
