Batelco Rewards Winning Staff for Beneficial Suggestions

Batelco Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos presented 11 staff members with certificates and cash prizes for their contribution to the Company’s A’ara’A scheme, at an award ceremony held at Batelco Hamala Headquarters recently.

A’ara’A is a Batelco programme designed to encourage staff to contribute constructive and creative suggestions and ideas with the aim of improving the products and services provided to customers and/or increase Batelco’s operational effectiveness and efficiency.

All suggestions are considered by Batelco’s Human Resource Unit, with winning suggestions that are selected on a quarterly basis, being implemented throughout the Company. The winning suggestions are categorized as Platinum, Gold or Silver with the staff members responsible being given cash awards accordingly and certificates of appreciation.

“Batelco designed the A’ara’A scheme to encourage staff take part in the business improvement and decision making process of the Company,” said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

“All suggestions and ideas that bring value to our business are welcomed with a large number being selected and put into practice each year.”

The winners for the last quarter of 2006 are:-
Husain Al-Fardan, Ahmed Mohd Abdulla, Hasan Al-Saegh, Aref Murad, Olive Wagstaff, Mahmood  A. Majeed, Essam Al-Mashoor, Hameed Saleh, Sama Al-Alawi, Abeer Al-Mahmeed, Ahmed Zainal.
