Batelco Network & Technology Unit’s annual Network Day took place 21st December at the Gulf Hotel. The theme of this year’s event was ‘Networks & Technology Unit Makes the Dream of Broadband Bahrain a Reality’. Batelco Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos, Networks General Manager Ebrahim Zainal, Business Unit General Manager Abdulwahed Zainal, Information Systems General Manager Saleh Tarradah and a number of Batelco senior management and staff were in attendance.
The one day annual event is organised to outline the Network & Technology Unit’s plans for 2007 to managers, engineers and specialists of the unit as well as their counterparts in other units.
Staff members from the Network & Technology Unit who distinguished themselves in their work during 2006 were presented with certificates of achievement and high value watches during the event.
Mr. Kaliaropoulos thanked the network staff for their considerable contribution to the success of Batelco during 2006.
“As we embark on a Peak Performance strategy to make Batelco the first choice mobile and broadband operator for customers we look forward to your continuous support in the year ahead,” he added.
