Balloon rolling is the latest offering that Modhesh World has organized for its young visitors. The most popular ride since Modhesh World opened it appeals not only to the children but also grabs the attention of the visitors who see it rolling by.
Made of transparent polyvinyl chloride, it resembles a huge soap bubble. Children can either push against its walls to make it roll at the speed they want or allow the rolling balloon to take them on a topsy-turvy ride.
The outer diameter of the balloon is four metres whereas the inner diameter is two and a half metres. It can easily accommodate four children at a time. The pressure between the walls is adequate to ensure that it does not burst and at the same time maintains its shape and bounce.
Eleven year old Sheikha and her friend Alia Abdullah took the balloon ride together. "I have never laughed louder than when the ball started rolling. The funniest part was when we tried to maintain our balance as the ball was rolling and at the same time to push it to make it roll faster. We sometimes succeeded and at other times did not. It was really funny the way we kept slipping down," said Sheikha.
Alia Abdulla added, "I have never felt so excited before, it's a fantastic ride. I hope it will always be there at Modhesh World. It's fun and I will never get bored of it ever."
