Bahrain's new elected chamber held its first working session on Tuesday, two months after its 40 members won seats in polls in the Gulf Kingdom.
Speaker Khalifa al-Zahrani told the house the next few sessions would be devoted to debating four draft laws submitted by the government, including one dealing with health matters and another with the economic activities of Gulf expatriates in Bahrain, AFP reported.
The elected legislature will hold its weekly session on Tuesday. A consultative council of similar size named by the Bahraini King will meet every Monday. (Albawaba.com)
