Bahrain to Host Conference on Arab Petrochemical Industries

The challenges facing the petrochemical industries in the Arab world will come under the spotlight at an international conference to be held in Bahrain next month, reported the Gulf Daily on Wednesday. 

The fourth conference on the Development and Integration of Petrochemical Industries will be held on May 7,  

The conference is organized by the Arab Industrial Development and Minerals Organization, in cooperation with Bahrain’s oil ministry and the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). 

“We are honored to organize this conference, which will evaluate the effects of the creation of major international blocks, globalization of the economy and liberalization of international trade on the Arab petrochemical sector,” said GPIC general manager and organizing committee chairman, Mustafa Al Sayed.  

“The Arab worlds petrochemical industry is facing numerous challenges and difficulties brought about by the rapid developments in international markets”. 

International companies will also participate at the conference, including Snamprogetti of Italy, Kruppe Uhde Gmbh of Germany and Halder Topsoe of Denmark. 

Organizations like International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and Apicorp will also attend – Albawaba.com
