Bahrain will host in October a forum on child abuse, attended by more than 300 Arab and foreign experts, reported the Gulf Daily News on Tuesday.
The event aims to shed light on the cause, effects, causes and ways of preventing child abuse, said the paper.
The event, titled “Child Protection from Abuse and Neglect through Family Protection and Legislation Enforcement, is organized by Bahraini Society for Child Development.
“Experts who will address key issues related to child abuse have already been invited from Bahrain, the Arab world and other countries,” said head of the conference organizing committee, Fadheela Al Mahroos.
She added that the door was still open for researchers to submit their studies.
The conference will be open for all people working with children and interested in learning more about how to protect them and ensure their physical and psychological well being – Albawaba.com
