A car bomb exploded at the gate of an Iraqi security force base just north of Baghdad on Sunday, killing six Iraqis and injuring at least 20, a U.S. officer said at the scene.
The bomb targeted the Iraqi Civil Defence Corps base in Taji.
Meanwhile, four civilians working for an American firm in were killed in an ambush in Baghdad, the Polish Foreign Ministry said Sunday.
The four, two Americans and two Poles working for Blackwater Security Consulting, were shot dead Saturday afternoon when a convoy they were traveling was ambushed, said Boguslaw Majewski, the spokesman for Poland's Foreign Ministry.
Elsewhere, a roadside bomb blew up as a U.S. convoy passed in Sadr City on Sunday, killing a 14-year-old boy and injuring two Iraqi police officers, Iraqi police said. (Albawaba.com)
