A new film, "The Moroccan Symphony", directed by Kamal Kamal will soon be shown in Moroccan theaters. The film tells the story of a deaf-mute man (actor Aziz Hatab), who learns to play contrabass and joins a young band of poor musicians.
According to <i>Aujourd'hui</i>, the band miraculously achieves national and even international fame which promote its members in the social ladder. Hattab, born in Casablanca, started his artistic career in the theatre and in television but it was mainly the cinema that gave him major public recognition.
