Kuwait municipality said on Tuesday that a number of factories have been closed off in the area of Sabhan for processing expired food.
An official told the Kuwaiti official news agency (KUNA) that the inspection campaign was a surprise for those factories and showed the extent of negligence in a number of factories.
He said that such violations could have negative impacts on the public health.
He added that the municipality has taken all necessary legal measures against violators, pledging that such campaigns would not stop in that area and others. (Albawaba.com)
