ALBAWABA - The Australian Prime Minister confirmed that the country has halted all operations at its embassy in Iran.

Reuters quoted Anthony Albanese, who said, "We have suspended operations at our embassy in Tehran and will expel the Iranian ambassador to our country." Tehran's ambassador was given a week to depart Australia.

He also added that Australia will do its best to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) as a 'terrorist organization'.

The move was taken as Australia blamed Iran of being two antisemitic arson attacks in Sydney and Melbourne.
