Champion PC game players from around Egypt will converge in April at the Souk Al Asr computer mall in Cairo to experience Egypt’s largest ever gaming competition. The event will be co-hosted by ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT), Intel and graphics add-in board manufacturer Gigabyte Technology.
‘Gigabyte and ATI Clan Masters’ will take place from April 6th to 14th, 2006. Gaming enthusiasts from across Egypt will compete against one another, playing a popular auto racing game titled Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Registration for the competition is free and can be done online at www.metracomputer.com/game or at the venue. Gaming will begin at 1:00 pm every day and finish at 11:00 pm. The qualifying rounds will take place during the first seven days of the competition, with 10 winners being chosen everyday. On the 8th day of the contest, one grand prize winner will walk away with a Gigabyte motherboard valued at 2000 Egyptian pounds.
Electronic Arts (EA) Games, maker of the game "Most Wanted", will supply 24 copies of the game as runner-up prizes. Creative, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products will supply speakers and sound cards for the event and further prizes for the individual winners. Other sponsors include Metra, Egypt’s largest computer retailer and View Sonic, who will provide large LCD panels and projectors.
