Syrian President Bashar al-Assad ended a two-day working visit to Iran on Monday and left for home. According to IRNA, he was seen off at the airport by President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami.
During his stay in Tehran, Assad met with Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, President Khatami and several other senior Iranian officials.
