ASPIRE Striving For Excellence Accreditation
European Foundation of Quality Management to Assess Sporting Academy’s Internal Processes
ASPIRE has applied for certification from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), in the category of ‘Committed to Excellence,’ to ensure that the sporting, educational and organizational processes of the Academy conform to the highest possible global standards.
EFQM is one of the most important bodies in its field, and achieving this qualification will position ASPIRE alongside international organizations which employ globally-recognised requirements for excellence.
Based on EFQM’s ‘Excellence Model’ – a self-assessment quality management approach – ASPIRE’s quality management team has conducted EFQM licensed in-house trainings and approved assessments, including surveys and structured interviews about the processes currently in place.
From the results, a list of potential initiatives was developed with a number of projects selected to take forward. Action plans for each of these projects were created and submitted to EFQM for approval.
When the action plans have been fully implemented, a team of EFQM will assess the impact of the initiatives and, if ASPIRE is successful, will award the accreditation, which is valid for two years.
Prof. Dr. Dieter Hackfort, Dean and Director ASPIRE’s QESA Department said, “Excellence is the foundation of ASPIRE Academy. We expect excellence from our students and we also demand excellence of all the processes and procedures we put into place.”
“The EFQM certification gives us the opportunity to look within our organisation and ask ourselves how we can improve our processes so we can give our students the very best experience possible.”
Benefits of the certification include an extensive assessment of ASPIRE’s internal processes and, if successful, recognition as an organization of excellence by one of the world’s most prestigious quality assessment organisations.
