Arabian Radio Network (ARN), the largest radio broadcasting group in the UAE, today announced the successful conclusion of a series of innovative educational seminars that aimed to help businesses harness the power and reach of the radio and incorporate the medium into the daily marketing mix.

The seminars organised by 'ARN Plus Business Club' were held at the Westin Mina Seyahi from 18-22 April and included participants from a cross-section of the UAE businesses. Seven daily identical sessions during the five-day period offered customized packages including commercial air time and creative services representing huge value across 12 month commitments.

The seminars have attracted over 2,500 registered participants against 1,600 who attended the ARN business lunch in 2009.

Mahmoud Al Rasheed, General Manager of ARN, said: “With the onset of the economic upturn, radio offers a highly productive platform to businesses and organizations as it serves as a very crucial medium in everyday life. ARN continues to add value not only through providing unique news and entertainment platforms, but also through its focus on relevant issues.”

Steve Smith, COO of ARN said: ”Our promotional offer is an incentive that we aim to continue every year. In the UAE, radio plays a major role in people’s lives and ARN radio stations have become synonymous with the growth of the radio broadcast industry in this region. We are particularly proud of our diverse demography that ranges from different age groups, nationalities and ethnic backgrounds.

“It proved to the UAE businesses that radio as a traditional mass medium is highly effective and UAE companies significantly favour radio as an important medium in their marketing mix.”

A proud winner of Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme Award, ARN is the largest radio network and communications services in the region, with a portfolio comprising Al Arabiya 99.0 and Al Khaleejiya 100.9 in Arabic, Virgin Radio Dubai 104.4, Dubai Eye 103.8, Dubai 92 in English, City 101.6, Hit 96.7 in the South Asian languages of Hindi and Malayalam respectively.
