Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will visit Moscow on June 8 for talks with President Vladimir Putin, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Khairi Al Oridi said Monday.
“Arafat’s visit will be very important for the international community's search for ways to stop the bloodshed in the occupied Palestinian territories, where people get killed every day,” he said, cited by the official Saudi news agency (SPA).
The ambassador stressed the importance of Russia's active participation in the Middle East peace process as a co-sponsor.
