The heat of the summer does not have to deprive you of nature’s beauty. For the first time, you can experience an indoor pet animal sanctuary at the ‘Arabian Center Mini Zoo’. The mall, the latest hotspot for shopping, leisure and entertainment located on Al Khawaneej Road, Dubai, is housing this unique concept from April 22, 2010 as part of its Earth Day celebrations. The zoo will be housed at the Arabian Center for two weeks. Entry to the zoo is free for all.

Commenting on the ‘Arabian Center Mini Zoo’, Mr. Tim Jones, COO, Arabian Center, said, “We are delighted to host this exceptional display at Arabian Center. Through the live mini zoo concept, we hope to create awareness and ignite a passion among people for pet animals. Animals are an important link in the environmental chain and as such it is essential to educate the masses about them. By having this event coincide with Earth Day, we hope to highlight the significance of environmental awareness.”

“The mall has always been committed to bringing to its patrons diverse and amazing forms of entertainment. We strive to come up with novel concepts to treat our customers to show appreciation for the support they give us and continually motivate them to visit the mall.”

Among the pet animals who will have Arabian Center as their homes for these two weeks are rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, love birds, ducklings, chickens, turtles, gold fish, koi fish, baby iguanas and various species of birds and pigeons. Each animal has a story and a past. At the ‘Arabian Center Mini Zoo’ patrons can learn more about the animals. Besides gazing and learning about the animals, visitors can touch and feel the animals. You can also take home complimentary pictures to capture the moments with these furry friends.

Along with the zoo, Arabian center has brought back by popular demand the exotic ‘Arabian Souq’. Offering collections of unique souvenirs from vendors, the Souq showcases a rare collection of items ranging from arts, crafts, traditional Bedouin style jewellery, antique furniture, handmade shielas, oud, Arabic perfumes and more. The Souq is being held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at the mall.

Kids can experiment new looks at the beauty and grooming corner which is hosted at the mall every weekend. The workshops will leave you little treasures delighted with joy.

Arabian Center is home to over 200 internationally renowned brands ranging from clothing to home furnishings, electronics, jewellery, perfumes, fashion accessories, toys and games. Sprawling over a generous area of 80,000 square meters, the mall also houses a hypermarket – World Mart, which carries a wide variety of products fulfilling the daily needs of the shoppers. CinemaCity, a fully digital Dolby high definition cinema is also housed at Arabian Center. Catering to a large audience of Arabs, Europeans and Asians, the Arabian Center is a complete family destination for shopping, leisure and entertainment.
