Arab Wings signs a joint venture with Royal Jet

Arab Wings recently announced signing an agreement with Royal Jet, the Abu Dhabi-headquartered international executive flight services company to jointly manage a new Challenger 605.

The first of its kind agreement was signed during the Middle East Business Aviation show held at Dubai Airport, between Mr. Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh, General Manager of Arab Wings and Mr. Shane O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet.

The new deal signals the start of further cooperation between the two well established private jet operators.

The jointly managed aircraft will join Arab Wings fleet in February 2009 boosting the super mid-size element of its fleet. At a cruise speed of Mach 0.80, the Challenger 605 can swiftly link city pairs such as Abu Dhabi to London in under eight hours, Riyadh to Geneva in just over six hours, and Jeddah to Berlin in just under six hours. Its maximum range is 7460 km (4027 nm).

Upon signing the agreement, Mr. Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh said “Royal Jet are widely recognised for their expertise and attention to detail. We have great confidence in their abilities and look forward to a fruitful and close relationship with them in the future. This agreement would bring to the client the best of the two companies' expertise”.

Mr. Shane O’Hare expressed his delight of the agreement between the two prominent names in the industry. Mr. O'Hare said: “The opportunity to work with Arab Wings on this venture once again proves that we always develop a bespoke service to our clients meeting their particular needs."

Arab Wings first started operating in 1975 as a Royal Jordanian business jet subsidiary. It later began to charter executive aircraft for esteemed clients in Jordan and worldwide. Arab Wings organises flights to different destinations around the world. Its fleet contains a number of aircraft serving the businessmen and companies who are keen to travel in private jets. Arab Wings has been rewarded the safety award, and it was the first company to be certified with the ISO-9002 Quality Award in 1994.
