Arab foreign ministers, in a statement issued on Monday, at the end of three days of preparatory talks for the upcoming summit in Tunisia, called on US President George W Bush to abide by his vision on the establishment of a viable Palestinian state by 2005.

The ministers, in their statement, also urged Bush to adhere to the principles of the Middle East peace process, namely the UN resolutions and the land-for-peace principle.

The statement, to be submitted to the summit, said that issues on the final settlement concerning the Palestinians and Israelis should be addressed by the two sides.
