Université des Pères Antonins (UPA), known as Antonine University, purchased UniversiTools Student Information System (SIS) developed by White Mountain Technologies.
Established in 1996, the Antonine University incorporates three faculties, two institutes, the Antonine Fathers School of Music, and the Centre for Language and Resources. The university is headquartered in Baabda and operates three campuses in Bekaa, Karm Saddeh, and Mejdlayya.
UPA's decision criteria require the SIS to handle its three campuses and consolidate information at its headquarters. Admissions, registration, grading, transcripts, scheduling, data management, and reporting are core to its operations. Furthermore, the functional requirements differ among its various faculties and campuses. Among the key challenges is migrating from its existing SIS software to UniversiTools and meeting the deadline to go live in four months.
"We decided to implement UniversiTools at our university because we believe in the product and the company that stands behind it," says Father Fady Fadel, UPA's vice rector for academic affairs. "Our selection followed rigorous evaluation of regional and international Student Information Systems (SIS) required to appropriately fit and manage our needs."
With UniversiTools' Student Information System (SIS), registrars and admissions officers effectively manage student applications, admissions and enrollment; student and instructor information; course registration; grades and transcripts; clearance and graduation. UniversiTools' robust Schedulers software manages course scheduling, classroom scheduling, examination scheduling, and make-up session scheduling, generating 100% conflict-free results.
"UPA's is a specifically demanding project," says Mr. Michael Zakharia, White Mountain's managing director. "The university's rich structure, diversity, and modus operandi require a robust and scalable SIS. Moreover, given the expected deliverables and tight timeline, the project calls for efficient management. We are especially proud that UPA selected us for the job."
UniversiTools software caters to multilingual universities. Members of the UniversiTools user community in the Middle East include such universities as American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon, American University in Dubai (AUD), and American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
