The Anti-Narcotics Unit in Ras Al Khaimah recently detained six people for allegedly possessing and selling drugs in separate cases.
A high-ranking Public Prosecution official said the authorities received a tip-off that three Iranian traders possessed drugs. Police subsequently set a trap and arrested them.
In addition, he stated that in a second case, there was a tip-off that two Pakistanis residing in a hotel were using hashish, Gulf News said.
Police recruited an undercover agent who told the accused he wanted to buy some hashish. Police forces then raided the hotel and arrested the men.
Meanwhile, in the third case, an Omani was arrested from a restaurant and hashish was allegedly seized from him. (Albawaba.com)
