Ambulance helicopter crash kills 4 in Turkey's Mugla

ALBAWABA - The Mugla province Governor reported that at least four people were killed after an ambulance helicopter crashed into a hospital in southwestern Turkey.

Anadolu Agency reported citing Idris Akbiyik that two pilots, one doctor, and one healthcare employee died in the helicopter crash into the Training and Research Hospital building in Mugla Province's Mentese district.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered condolences following the horrific accident. He wrote on the X platform: "The news that 4 of our brothers lost their lives as a result of the crash of an ambulance helicopter affiliated with our Ministry of Health in Muğla broke our hearts.

I pray to God to have mercy on our deceased personnel and offer my condolences to their families, colleagues and our entire healthcare community."

AA added that firefighters, health and police members in addition to personnel from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) were sent to the location immediately.
