On the sidelines of the 17th Arab summit in Algeria, the Algerian president, Abdelaaziz Bouteflika had a meeting with Moroccan king Mohamed VI, announced the Algerian foreign minister Abdelaaziz Belkhadem. Other meetings will be held between the two sides, added Belkhadem during a press conference held Tuesday evening.
According to the official Arab summit website, Belkhadem affirmed that “there is a warm up in the Algerian - Moroccan relations.” The Algerian foreign minister further indicated that meetings between the countries of the Arab Maghreb union will take place in Algiers .
Concerning a question on the Western Sahara conflict, the Algerian foreign minister underlined that this question is part of the United Nations Fourth Decolonization Commission and the UN peace plan.
