Algeria: 21 wounded in bombing attack

A blast near a police station in northern Algeria early Sunday injured 21 people, including six police officers, the Interior Ministry said. According to the AP, the explosion reported in Tizi-Ouzou, a northern city about 62 miles east of the capital, Algiers.

 

Witnesses said the explosion appeared to have come from a van driven by a suicide bomber.  The blast damaged surrounding buildingsand the remains of the suicide bomber were littered nearby.
