aldar to make its mark in paris
ALDAR Properties highlights Abu Dhabi developments at
the UAE France Partnership Forum
ALDAR Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi’s leading and fully integrated property developer, is joining a host of companies from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi at the UAE France Partnership Forum 2007. Held for the first time at the Le Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, the exhibition will provide companies driving the United Arab Emirates’ booming economy with an effective platform to generate partnerships, attract capital, encourage French tourism and stimulate bilateral trade.
ALDAR will showcase its developments, which are available for sale to French investors. Regulatory change in the UAE in 2004 allowed foreigners to buy property in Abu Dhabi on a freehold basis in designated zones.
The company will also highlight its hotel division which is poised to play a major role in the development of Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector. ALDAR has already signed agreements with internationally renowned hotel groups ACCOR, Movenpick and Oberoi, as well as teaming up with Middle Eastern brands such as Rotana. To date ALDAR has signed agreements to develop 11 hotels and the company plans to continue to develop relationships with more international hotel operators in the future.
Ronald Barrott, CEO, ALDAR Properties, said: “ALDAR takes great pride in participating at the UAE France Forum. It is our intention to demonstrate to French business people, investors and tourists our diverse property portfolio which is already attracting considerable worldwide interest and inward investment. I am positive the Forum will elevate our brand and indeed the UAE onto a global stage and underlines ALDAR’s commitment to promote Abu Dhabi on an international platform.”
ALDAR will showcase some of its major developments at the UAE France Partnership Forum such as [for example] YAS Island, a large natural island with a total land area of 2,500 hectares, located off the main island of Abu Dhabi. Home to the world's first and only Ferrari Theme Park, YAS Island will also be home to a Formula 1 racetrack, a Warner Bros. Theme Park, water park and two championship golf courses. With luxury hotels, lagoons, beaches, commercial offices, boutiques and spas, YAS Island is set to become a unique international tourist attraction.
