ALBAWABA - In a joint statement between Al Qassam and Al Quds Brigades, the two military groups announced claiming responsibility for the truck explosion in Tel Aviv.
Police and medics say a man was killed in an explosion in his vehicle in Tel Aviv on Sunday. According to police, the explosion occurred when the suspect was driving a vehicle on Lod Street in the city.
Magen David Adom doctors claimed they discovered the body of a man in his fifties alongside the flaming vehicle. Initially, the Times of Israel reported that the police sources believed the purpose was criminal rather than terrorist, however, it was later declared a "terrorist attack".
According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the police has raised the alarm to maximum levels in the greater Tel Aviv area and are conducting searches for additional suspects. The police also called on the city's residents to be vigilant and careful.
Al Quds and al-Qassam brigades' statement reads: "The operations inside the occupation territories will always be on the table as long as the occupation massacres, the displacement of civilians, and the policy of assassinations continue".
