Al Jazeera Sport broadcasts Euro Cup 2008 on HD
The Spanish company SIDSA provides the digital satellite platform with KeyFly Conditional Access System to protect its Euro Cup’s HD transmissions
The Global technology provider, SIDSA, is providing Al Jazeera Sport with KeyFly Conditional Access System to protect its High Definition (HD) content. It is also managing the viewers’ access to the different platform’s channels, with the main sport events (among them, the Spanish Football League, the Italian League, Euro Cup and Formula 1). The platform currently includes three standard channels and one HD channel.
Al Jazeera Sport, digital satellite platform that holds the broadcasting rights to Euro Cup 2008 for the Middle East and North of Africa, is broadcasting on HD all the matches through Al Jazeera Sport HD, using SIDSA’s KeyFly Conditional Access System.
Last year, SIDSA, in cooperation with other companies, carried out a pay DTT pilot in Spain , in the village of Alcazar de San Juan , offering pay-per-view football events and films, showing the technical viability of a platform based on Spanish technology and ready to be deployed.
