al islami foods sales up by 50% during ramadan

In line with the holy spirit of Ramadan, Al Islami Foods, the leading producer of halal products in the Middle East, launched halal food campaign during Ramadan. The company today announced increase in sales by 50% in response to the new campaign. The month-long halal awareness activity, which stays valid till the end of October, has been launched in collaboration with Damas jewellery.

Jon Wilton-Reynolds, a British expatriate and Principal Director of Quest-Worldwide, a strategic change management consultancy working for multinationals, while commenting on Al Islami initiative, said: “It is fantastic to see the success of Al-Islami and I am not surprised to see that their sales have increased by 50% over previous Ramadan period. As a consequence of the quality and value that company’s products provide, they are great for Arabs and non-Arabs; Muslims and non-Muslims alike.”

As part of social responsibility, Al Islami’s primary focus has been the housewives who are more responsible to nourish their families with healthy food, says the chief executive officer of Al Islami Foods, Saleh Lootah.

Soheir Ahmed, an Egyptian housewife living in Sharjah, commented: “I am buying Al Islami products since I came to the UAE because of their being halal and having good quality.  I am happy that these products are available in other countries as well, which means I can provide my family with healthy halal food, whenever I am outside the UAE.”

Al Islami is expecting that the new campaign will yield more than 100% increase in sales by the end of October. Al Islami’s range of products is available in major supermarkets across the UAE.
