Al Arabiya To Host Regional Semi-Final Round of Judging For 2008 International EMMY® AWARDS
Al Arabiya announced today it will host the semi-final round of judging for the Asia/Africa/Middle East region for the 2008 International Emmy Awards.
Al Arabiya joins the prestigious lineup of leading international media organizations who have associated with the Academy to recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States.
The panel of expert jurors, selected in collaboration with The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, includes region-based representatives from the television industry, the free-to-air networks, the production community and the media. The panel will determine programs that will advance to the Final Round of Judging in October.

The judging for the “Current Affairs” and “Documentary” categories, held in compliance with the International Emmy Awards’ strict judging procedures, will take place on July 9th and July 10th in Dubai, at the Radisson SAS hotel in Dubai Media City.
The 2008 International Emmy® Awards final nominations will be announced on October 13th at a press conference during MIPCOM in Cannes, France. The winners will be presented with their International Emmys at the 36th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York City.
