Al Alim Al Arabi Raises its Capital to JD 16.5 Million

During its recently held extraordinary general  assembly, Al Alim Al Arabi for Educational Services, founder of both the Middle East University for Higher Learning, and the American School in Aqaba,    announced that it is raising its capital so that it is now worth JD 16.5 million.  During the same meeting the organization also announced that it is appointing Dr. Saad Ali Basheer as its new General Manager. .

This raise in capital is aimed at allowing the company to be better equipped for offering a BA educational program at the Middle East University for Higher Learning. This learning institution has received preliminary licensing from the Council of Higher Learning in Jordan and it has plans to complete its private and public accreditation requirements so that it can accommodate up to 8000 students in the future.

Board Chairman of Al Alim Al Arabi for Educational Services and key investor, Mr. Yaqoub Nasser Eldin from his end acquired all shares belonging to the Al Rai International Corporation for Investment and Education. With this new acquisition and the company shares he previously owned, Mr. Nasser Eldin is now recognized as the owner of 80% of Al Alim Al Arabi’s total shares.

Commenting on the company’s rise in capital, Mr. Nasser Eldin said, “Our decision will help us move closer towards our goal for elevating the quality of educational services offered in Jordan and for providing Jordan’s fresh graduates with the tools they need to excel in the business world.”

“In our quest to offer new educational programs within the Middle East University for Higher Learning we extensively researched the market and its educational needs. The research we did helped us ensure that the services provided through this learning institution will enable it to become a haven for learning and academic advancement within both the local and regional educational arena,” he added.

Al Alim Al Arabi also began recruiting University faculty members in a transparent manner and throughout the recruiting process it paid extra attention to the recruited team’s capacity to support Scientific Research.

The company also consulted with a committee of experts all working in the field of Education and Scientific Research, this committee in turn helped the company ensure that the services provided through this learning institution will enable it to become a haven for learning and academic advancement locally and regionally.

It was stated during the meeting that the institution will be adopting an educational strategy that is geared towards ensuring that it maintains a pioneering position amongst other institutions established across the region and that it will arm its graduates with the academic knowledge they need to excel within the competitive corporate world.
