Al Ain Air Show Kick Starts First Gulf Bank’s Expansive 2007 Community Relations Programme

Abu Dhabi-headquartered First Gulf Bank (FGB), one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions, has pledged to make a difference to the markets its serves with an expansive 2007 community relations programme.

The bank signalled the start of its 2007 activities by signing as gold sponsor of this month’s Al Ain International Aerobatics Championship - FAI World Grand Prix.

“First Gulf Bank is committed to assisting the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government in building a solid tourism base for the entire emirate through the provision of world-class infrastructure and international attractions. The economic diversification drive of the emirate needs the buy-in of all level of society – both public and private – and by sponsoring high profile events of this nature we give back to the community while assisting macro-economic aims,” said André Sayegh, CEO, First Gulf Bank.

“More community initiatives will be announced as we go forward in 2007.”

Held under the auspices of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Al Ain International Aerobatics Championship is being organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority in collaboration with the UAE Air Force and Air Defence from 26 to 30 January.
