Air Arabia receives Airbus accolade

Air Arabia, the Middle East’s first low fares carrier received a certificate for outstanding operations, achieving the best daily world utilization of the A320 fleet since August 2005 till date.

On receiving the accolade, Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia said, “The goal of optimising daily aircraft utilization is mainly to increase productivity but our most immediate strategy is to improve the airlines’ competitiveness by increasing our fleet, introduce new routes and simultaneously identify new business segments like holiday packages so that the airline continue to offer the value for money to its customers.”

Habib Fekih, President, Airbus Middle East, said: "We congratulate Air Arabia on their outstanding operations, achieving the highest average daily utilisation for an A320 fleet, over the period from September 2005 till August 2006.
 
 This years awards highlight the success of Air Arabia in terms of profit margin, innovation, reputation and operational excellence and demonstrates the fact that low fares airlines are here to stay.

Current Air Arabia destinations include Aleppo, Damascus and Latakia (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut and Luxor (Egypt); Amman (Jordan); Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan); Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Istanbul (Turkey); Kabul (Afghanistan); Kathmandu (Nepal); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram (India); Muscat (Oman); Sana’a (Yemen); Sharjah (UAE); Tehran (Iran) and Yerevan (Armenia).
