Air Arabia LLC, the first low-fares airline in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced a further increase in its frequency on the Sharjah-Mumbai sector. The increase in flights is aimed at meeting the increased demand from customers during the summer.
The additional six flights per week, effective August 15, 2006 till September 10, 2006, will be operational every day of the week except Monday and will depart from Sharjah at 0010 hours local time, arriving in Mumbai at 04:40 hours Indian Standard Time.
The regular flights to Mumbai continue as normal with a daily departure of 1630 hours UAE time from Sharjah and a 2145 hours departure from Mumbai Indian time.
In his comments on the additional services to Mumbai, Mr. Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, said: “We are proud to announce the additional flights on the Mumbai sector which reflects the increasing traffic. In order to cope with the demand, we have added these additional flights to Mumbai.”
He added: “The increased frequency is aimed at offering our customers more affordable direct access to Mumbai this summer and accommodate the return traffic as well from Mumbai. As we grow in the region, we remain committed to offer our services to a wider base of customers to and from Mumbai. We are confident that the additional flights can effectively cater to the large number of families going to India for their holidays.”
