Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on the European states to "correct their mistakes" about Iran. In an interview with French daily Le Monde, the Iranian leader said that his country has made opportunity for European states to revise their own policy.
He stressed that ground has been paved for European states and France, in particular, to revise their past approach towards Iran.
Ahmadinejad stressed Iran's right to produce nuclear energy for civilian purposes and condemned approach of certain European states and the US to exert pressure on the Security Council to issue resolutions against Iran. On regional situation, he said the US interference in domestic affairs of the countries have always led to regional disputes.
The Iranian president denounced the Western governments for keeping silent toward Israeli atrocities in the occupied territories.
