One education officer was killed and seven others were wounded in a roadside bombing in the Bagrami district of Kabul on Monday, an official said.
Ministry of Education (MoE) spokesman Mujib Mehrdad told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the Kamari area of the district around 7am.
He said the education officers were traveling in a mini-bus that struck the roadside improvise explosive device. One of the education personnel was killed and seven others were injured.
However, the crime branch chief for 101st Asmayee Zone, Brig. Gen. Faridoon Obaidi, said that only four education officials were injured in the incident. He said police were investigating about the attack.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
