adih showcases new mega development at doha conference
An audience of executives from the real estate and financing world were introduced to Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH)’s latest project in Qatar.
Rashad Janahi, CEO of ADIH and Chairman of Qatar Entertainment City (QEC), held a special presentation at Estate Qatar 2007: Qatar Property Investment Forum (QPIF), to pre-launch QEC’s new mega development, Tarfeeh City.
The event, which is being held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Doha under the patronage of the Prime Minister and foreign minister of Qatar, Shaikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani on November 26-27th, is being organized by the World Trade Center Qatar, with QEC as a strategic partner.
Tarfeeh City, which is situated in the center of Lusail near Doha, is a major multi-purpose property project which combines three clusters: entertainment, retail and residential. The development covers an area of one million square meters and is situated at the waterfront.
Over 30 speakers representing property, finance and government sectors are taking part in conference, with participants gaining a first-look at numerous development projects in the region, including Tarfeeh City.
Topics on the conference agenda include future trends in the Gulf property market, emerging investment opportunities in Qatar, financing and marketing real estate projects and the challenges government face in facilitating the industry’s growth.
Speaking at a dedicated session, Mr. Janahi said, “As unprecedented investment interest is being witnessed in the Gulf region across industries, the real estate market is undergoing an equally dramatic boom. The increasingly sophisticated requirements of property investors, the importance of preserving the natural environment, and the ability to adapt to future innovations are all challenges that any developing industry must address, and the property industry is no exception.
“Abu Dhabi Investment House has chosen Qatar as the venue for this project as testament to the country's booming real estate market. Projects like Tarfeeh City will convince you of our region's high potential.”
