ALBAWABA - The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades' spokesperson, Abu Ubaida, commended Hezbollah for its recent counterattack following the death of its leader, Foad Shukr. He expressed his admiration for the Lebanese fighters' bravery and sacrifices.

In his remarks, Abu Ubaida emphasized that since the "Flood of Al-Aqsa" operation, Hezbollah's operations had shown a marked change in the strategic balance. He underlined that no location is safe and no front is unachievable, cautioning the adversary, Israel, not to feel comfortable from reprisals.

Furthermore, Abu Ubaida declared that as long as hostility against their people persists, all fronts would continue to be active and intensify.

The assault is a reference to the "fortieth day" of Imam Hussein's mourning—was directed primarily against the Glilot military intelligence base. About 1,500 meters separate this base—home of Israel's Unit 8200—from Tel Aviv. Along with a number of other military outposts and barracks in the Galilee and Golan Heights, this was the main objective.

Drones were able to penetrate after Hezbollah fired hundreds of Katyusha rockets against Israel's Iron Dome defensive system, overwhelming it. Although Israel has not confirmed it, Nasrallah said that some of the drones were able to effectively strike their targets.

He went on to say that Israel's own defensive missiles, not Hezbollah's offensive strikes, were probably to blame for any damage or casualties that were reported in regions like Nahariya and Acre.
