chief development officer
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 27 August 2007: Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH), one of the leading financial institutions in the Middle East, announced the strategic appointments of Mr. Mathew James as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Mr. Mahmood Samy Naib as Chief Development Officer (CDO), in line with its strategy to attract excellent international expertise within the field
Mr. James will be responsible for the monitoring and supervising of: Operations, Accounting, Administration, IT, HR, Legal, Corporate Communications, Strategy, as well as, business performance and other corporate functions. As Chief Development Officer, Mr. Naib will oversee the Real Estate Department’s functions and strategic planning for the development sector at ADIH.

Mr. James, a certified accountant, enjoys an extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the banking and investment industries, where he has held senior positions in various organizations including Shroeder Ventures, DLJ Phoenix Private Equity Ltd, BCEE Advisors (UK) Ltdl, and Capital Trust Ltd. Before joining ADIH, Mr. James was the European Controller at DB Zwirn, responsible for setting up and running the European Finance Division. He holds a BA Hons degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Reading, UK.
Mr. Naib brings to ADIH a wealth of industry expertise in the real estate development and program management of over 19 years working in North America, Far East and the Gulf Region with leading international firms such as Skidmore Owings & Merrill, McClier, Turner International and Parsons. Mr. Naib holds a BA degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, in addition to numerous high Diplomas in city planning, strategic planning, as well as, management.
