Aastra, the No.2 in EMEA in enterprise communications[1], launches a new partner program (Aastra ONE Partner Program) customized for HP resellers in the Middle East and North Africa carrying the ProCurve networking portfolio.

A founding member of the HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem (ONE) Alliance, Aastra offers its MX-ONE Communications Manager on the HP ProCurve Services zl module, an application blade for the HP ProCurve Switch 5400zl and 8200zl series.

The product collaboration between Aastra and HP ProCurve provides a single network and unified communications solution with:

- a lower TCO by reducing investments in hardware and maintenance expenses.

- reduced complexity with easier deployment and management of network equipment and users.

“In order to make it easy for HP resellers to take advantage of this alliance and be able to offer Aastra’s MX-ONE IP Telephony solution and related Unified Communications applications, we have created this special partner program” says Dr. Roger Hage, Vice President Business Development, Aastra MENA.

Roger adds “It gives the new partners a fast-track treatment, reducing time-to-market tremendously. For example, after registering and filling out a pre-qualification form and getting the acceptance, they can start quoting Aastra IP Telephony solutions. The certification process runs in parallel and Aastra guarantees via its value-added distributors that the stringent quality requirements for installation and support are met at all times.”

“The Middle East is a promising emerging market for Information and Communication Technology, leapfrogging from analogue to Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and open-standards Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technologies, and that is exactly Aastra’s area of specialization. When you have a heart problem, you don’t go to the general practitioner, you go to the cardiologist. We are one of the few companies focusing 100% on Enterprise Communications only, which enables us to offer best-of-breed solutions for enterprise voice, video and unified communications.” concludes Mr. Hage.
