The 7th Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) Summit has been scheduled for December 23-24 in Algiers. The summit will be preceded by the meeting of senior officials on December 18-19, followed by the follow-up committee's on the 20th and the Foreign Ministers council's on December 21st. The AMU is made up of Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania.
According to APS, at the AMU Foreign Ministers meeting last November, Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem reiterated "Algeria's total availability to meet, with the help of member countries, the conditions for the success of the AMU summit, driven by our deep conviction about this body's future."
