As the playoffs continued Monday night, Philadelphia 76ers led a 105-99 victory over the Charlotte Hornets to win their first-round series 3-1.

Philadelphia's Aaron McKie who played instead of injured Eric Snow, hit four consecutive 3-pointers and scored 13 straight points midway through the fourth quarter saying his team was giving him looks throughout the game and he couldn't help getting his groove on.

The Associated Press quoted him as saying, "I just wanted my team to win," and he surely succeeded.

Philadelphia plays the winner of the Milwaukee-Indiana series in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Game 1 is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Bucks rout Pacers 100-87.

Milwaukee Bucks' Ray Allen scored 20 points while reserve Scott Williams added another 20 as they routed the Indiana Pacers 100-87 in the best-of-five series.

Game 5 is to be played Thursday night at Conseco Fieldhouse, where the Bucks have been lucky in winning twice this season.

Indiana's coach Larry Bird, disappointed with the loss said that the Bucks had them on their heels all night. "It was like a snowball effect, and we could never get it stopped. Yeah it's disappointing, but we've got to move forward."

Bird would be coaching his final game if the Bucks manage a victory in Game 5 - (Several Sources).
