ALBAWABA - Since the start of the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the recapture of Nagorno-Karabakh by the Azerbaijani army, thousands have been fleeing the region.

The Armenian government said that it will welcome all ethnic Armenians who want to come from Nagorno-Karabakh due to the tension.

At least 65,000 people have entered Armenia from the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Armenian government spokeswoman, Nazeli Baghdasaryan revealed on Thursday.

In detail, Baghdasaryan said in a statement: "65,036 forcefully displaced parsons crossed into Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh."

AFP said in a report that at least 120,000 ethnic Armenians were estimated to be living in the territory before the start of the offensive.
