ALBAWABA- At least 50 people have been killed in a devastating fire at a crowded nightclub in Kocani, North Macedonia, according to the state-run MIA news agency. 

The blaze erupted late on March 15 when pyrotechnics were used during a concert by the band DNA, quickly engulfing the venue. 

The Interior Ministry confirmed the fatalities, while authorities are still assessing the number of injured. 

North Macedonia’s public prosecutor’s office stated that all relevant agencies, including prosecutors from Kocani, are on-site investigating the tragedy.

Emergency services have been mobilized, with officials pledging urgent action. Kocani, located about 100 km east of the capital Skopje, is now grappling with one of the country’s deadliest nightclub disasters.
