For the last 45 years, the National Festival of Popular Arts in Marrakech has been more than just a local symbolic tradition. It has long become a national institution. Le Matin reports that this year's Festival (like last year's Festival) will take place in the historic Menara site, which is actually a relic from the 12th century.

The site includes a vast garden of olive trees, with a central platform of 200 meters long on 150 meters, which makes it perfect for the event. This year's festival will last from July 2 to July 9 and its main theme will be "The Magic of Popular Dances and the Choreographic Arts".
