ALBAWABA- An army vehicle exploded in the town of Briqa, southern Lebanon, after a war remnant detonated inside the vehicle, killing four and injuring four others, according to the Lebanese Civil Defense.

Salam praised the professionalism of the army, noting that its efforts align with the government's commitment to implementing its ministerial statement, which includes asserting state authority over all weapons.

This sentiment was echoed by Lebanese President Michel Aoun, who reiterated that the Lebanese state must remain the sole authority to possess and use arms.

Aoun hinted at Hezbollah’s weapons stockpile, suggesting that the state is waiting for more favorable conditions to fully assert control over all arms in the country.

In response, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah warned that the group’s arsenal is non-negotiable and that "any hand that reaches for it will be cut," reaffirming the party’s defiance against disarmament.

On the same day, the Lebanese army announced the seizure of a missile cell in the Zahrani area. The army reported that the cell was preparing to launch missiles toward the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.
